to blog or tweet?

i'm starting to think i should tweet from my blog. i.,e i shouldn't worry about putting up a big, meaty post and instead focus on short bursts of content. i can then cross-post that on twitter and facebook of course. hmmm, maybe cross-posting should get smarter, so that posts under 140 characters act as tweets, as do flickr titles/images. but, anything else goes in as a "from my blog:" tweet.
